Remote wilderness fly-in Alaska fishing lodge. Deshka Wilderness Lodge offers clean comfortable accommodations for our guests. Hearty homecooked meals in the rustic atmosphere of our riverfront dining room. Experience professional guides service and exciting fishing for salmon and trout.

Deshka Wilderness Lodge is located approximately 80 miles northwest of Anchorage in the remote forests of the Matanuska Susitna valley. The Deshka River is a clear water river who's headwaters start in the foothills of the Alaska Range near Denali (Mt. McKinley) North America's highest mountain.

Along with great fishing our guests are often treated to some of nature's greatest sights. Moose, bear, beavers, otters, eagles and other animals are often encountered on the river. One clear days some of the mountain views along the river are second to none. On a clear day there are several locations along the river where you can even see and photogragh Mt. McKinley.

The Deshka River is well known for it's great runs of King (Chinook), Silver (Coho) and Pink (Humpy) Salmon. The Deshka also offers great oppertunities for Rainbow Trout and Northern Pike with a chance of catching Grayling too. If an Alaska fishing adventure is what you are looking for give us a call.
